but onto the really important issue here, gluten. it amazes me how little the other dentists we've visited have known about gluten, and the use of it in dental supplies. between the paste they use to polish your teeth, the flouride, the toothpaste they want to send home with you, and the mouthwash sitting on the counter, there is the potential for being gluten-ized everywhere you look. dane's dentist is so aware of this that not only do they use the gf option of the paste and skip the flouride, they even offer gluten free freezies after having to be poked and prodded in procedures bigger than just a cleaning. it's amazing! but heed my warning - most dentist offices do not follow this same, sweet protocol. and your chances of leaving the dentist office having come in contact with gluten is really high.
