The reason I'm so thrilled with this place, time and time again, is because of the extensive knowledge they have and the research they've done to ensure that when they say gluten free, they mean it! This is so so rare, even for restaurants that have a gluten free menu. They've looked into the casing used on their ham, and pepperoni, they've called manufacturers to make sure there's been no cross contamination, and if they've been working with any gluten containing ingredients they scrub their arms up to their elbows before making our food!
In this scary time of un-educated restaurants claiming to make gluten free food, Me & Ed's in abbotsford (and likely the other locations) is fantastic.
and if this baby comes out ready to eat pizza we'll all know why ;)
(FYI - Boston pizza has always been a safe bet for us also. We ask a lot of questions and have been to multiple locations and they've impressed us with their awareness of contamination, etc. but if u want the inside scoop, they use the kinnikinik pizza crusts that u can buy at most grocery stores for $9.99 per 4 pack, so "Boston pizza" at home might be easier than you think! Also, Boston's in the states is the American version of Boston pizza, and they also make gf pizza. Also very aware, and their pizzas are bigger for the same price as their smaller, Canadian counterparts)
