today was a good day. we had our first ever experience at in-n-out burger! and it was sooo good!
this place runs like a well-oiled machine! when we got there the lineup was out the door, and within 10 minutes we had ordered, found a seat, and were eating our delicious, saucy, lettuce-wrapped burgers and fries!
you all must think that i eat a lot of junk, based on my most recent posts and what i get excited about - apple fritters by the pair, whoopie pies, burgers and fries.... but i can assure you that most of the time i don't eat like that!! in words that dane well knows, most of the time we eat foods that make our bodies big and strong. and some of the time, we eat foods that just make our hearts happy. case-in-point, in-n-out burger.
so back to the food. the happy employees in funny red hats were so well versed in the gluten free rules - they changed their gloves, wrapped our burgers in lettuce, were able to assure us that the sauce was safe, and explained how the fries were simply potatoes fried in non-hydrogenated vegetable oil, nothing else. (and since they only make burgers, fries and milkshakes there, there was no risk of the deep fryers being contaminated). it was awesome. we each ordered a burger and we got some fries to share. we polished that all off in a hurry and went back up for another round of burgers!
nothing better than seeing this little boy "mmm" his way through lunch and fill his belly with something delcious and out of the ordinary! a four year old devouring two burgers and an order of fries... you know it's good when...
